North Lakhimpur, October 15: The Fresher's Social for the year 2022-23 of Garchiga Tribal HS School, North Lakhimpur was held under the aegis of school students' union today at the school auditorium under the presidentship of the principal of the school Mainul Hoque. The meeting started with a chorus sung by the students. The objective of the meeting was explained by the general secretary of the school students' union Shiva Prasad Doley while the meeting was inaugurated by Post-Graduate teacher Powal Gogoi. The appointed speaker of the meeting Lila Saikia, a Post-Graduate teacher (English) of ADK HS School, North Lakhimpur and a renowned elocutionist of Lakhimpur district delivered a fruitful lecture to the students. The renowned elocutionist urged the students to show utmost respect towards their mothers and never to forget mother's sacrifices. Another speaker of the meeting, school managing committee president Jogen Narah, in his speech, urged the students to follow the rules and regulations of the school. He further said,"It is easy to make habits, but it is not so easy to refrain from bad habits. At the end of every day one should do introspection on the day's activities." The students should be optimistic, not pessimistic,he added. The other speaker of the meeting, the Headmaster of Pandhowa High School Abdul Malek said to the students to take the teachers as their bosom friends and take guidance from the teachers to proceed forward successfully in their lives. Several students of the school performed songs and dances in the event. A student of Angerkhowa Chariali Sankardev Sishu Niketan named Mrinmoy Gogoi also performed different skills of Karate. In the Fresher's Social, anchored by Powal Gogoi, all the present teachers and employees, retired teachers and employees and guardians of Garchiga Tribal HS School were present.
