Forest official died in road accident at Bebejia

Bureau Report, Nagaon, October 11: Surajit Singh, a forest official of Nagaon Sadar forest range was killed in a tragic road mishap near Bebejia chariali late evening on Monday last. Sources claimed that the forest official went to Guwahati for official purposes. On his way back he stopped his official vehicle near Bebejia chariali to purchase something and tried to cross the road then a speeding traveler coming from Nagaon town hit him. Meanwhile he was brought to Nagaon GD Nursing Home in a critical condition and doctor on duty immediately referred him to Guwahati for further treatment. But he succumbed to his injury on the way to Guwahati near Raha. Later, his body was brought to Nagaon BP Civil Hospital for postmortem at night itself, sources added. Right after postmortem at Nagaon Civil Hospital this morning, his body was taken to his native village Borkula where his earthly remains are disposed as per religious custom, sources informed further.
