Female Artists performed Bhaona in Biswanath

Staff Reporter, Biswanath Chariali, October 10: The women's performances in the roles of Bhim and Duryodhana captivated thousands of spectators at the Bhaona performed in the playground of Chatia HSS under Biswanath district on Sunday night. Two Bhaonas Droupadir Bastra Haran and Yudhishthir Rajarshri Jagya were performed on the auspicious occasion of Laxmi Puja by the women artists of the greater Sootea area. Notably, women's Bhaona was organized for the first time at Sootea. Women artists performed the role of both male and female characters. Thousands of spectators from far and wide attended the Bhaona programme. Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika inaugurated the Bhaona in presence of a huge gathering. He praised the initiative taken by the organizers.
