Guwahati, September 9: A worker was killed after he came into contact with a live wire while two others were injured in Assam’s Nalbari district on Friday. The incident took place in the Bardhantali area of the district and the deceased worker was identified as Lalsau Ali, a resident of South Singra. The incident occurred when the labourers were working on an electrical pole and came into contact with a live wire, sources said. Meanwhile, Ali died on the spot, two others suffered serious burn injuries. The injured duo was rushed to a nearby clinic for medical treatment. After getting information about the incident, police reached the spot and recovered the deceased’s body. A case of accidental death has been registered and the body was sent for post-mortem.
