Vaccination drive in Golaghat

Staff Reporter, Golaghat, September 2: A vaccination drive has been going on for livestock aiming prevention of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis under National Animal Disease Control Programme at various parts of Golaghat district. Under the aegis of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Golaghat the vaccination drive has been carried out in different places of the district like Merapani, Hatiakhowa, Dergaon and Upper Tarani. Ear tagging of cattle is also being carried out at various places to keep track and record information such as gender, age, weight, when a cow last calved, number of calves it has etc.
