Udalguri, September 6: On the occasion of the 2nd death anniversary of former vice president of Tangla Press Club, socialist and journalist Dhaneswar Rabha, Tangla Press Club organized an award function to commemorate his memory. The award function was organized at Hotel Paradise, Tangla with a day long long program. The tribute program, which was led by Phatik Rabha, was lit by literary pensioner Dharanidhar Medhi and Sumitra Rabha, wife of late Dhaneswar Rabha at 10 o'clock. The purpose of the Journalist Dhaneswar Rabha Award function was explained by Kaustav Mani Sarmah, General Secretary of Tangla Press Club and the whole program was presided over by Ujjal Kumar Das, president of Tangla Press Club. In this award giving function, journalist Bhargab Kr. Das was awarded with Journalist Dhaneswar Rabha Memorial Best Journalist 2022, Doctor Lakshyan Kr. Das and retired Anganawadi worker Arati Mahanta were awarded with Journalist Dhaneswar Rabha Memorial Best Social Service Award 2022. Topeswar Rabha, Asst. Secretary of Udalguri district Sahitya Sabha praised the socialist, journalist as well as the first journalist which was dead by causing covid entire Assam. Whereas, Mayur Goswami, reporter of The Assam Tribune from Mangaldai, reporter of News Live Hemanta Baruah, reporter of Asomia Khobor from Kalaigaon Girish Sarma, Executive Secretary of Assam Boxing Association Khargeswar Bora, Worker of Kalaigaon Village Development Tapashree Das, Socialist Rabindra Boro, Students leader Sanjuk Sabar and journalist Narayan Deka.
