North Lakhimpur, September 28: Under the joint aegis of Assam Down Town University, Guwahati and Mising Autonomous Council (MAC) and in association with Mising Students' Union Takam Mising Porin Kebang(TMPK), a Career Counselling Program was held at the auditorium of Lakhimpur district library, North Lakhimpur today where hundreds of students from different HS Schools and colleges of Lakhimpur district took part. The objective of the program was explained by Biju Pegu, executive member,MAC while Dr. Anil Pegu,OSD,MAC anchored the program. Eminent career counselor and motivating speaker of Assam Anjan Choudhary attended in the program as the chief resource person. In his speech, Anjan Choudhary told that one chooses wrong career due to the main factor of surrounding situation or influence. He said,"Counselling is much more important to the parents rather than students." He urged the students to choose right career by which they could provide social contribution and could get self-satisfaction. He also urged the students to make an own identity in the society by choosing a right career in life. "If one lives for others through his career, one could feel happy at the end of the day" Anjan Choudhary commented. Moreover, he said,"One should know to take opportunity in making career." "Career is not made by other's influence," he added. Assistant Manager of the Marketing Department, Assam Down Town University, Guwahati Iftikar Ahmed also attended in the program as a resource person and he too gave a fruitful lecture on career to the students. He also informed the students about various courses provided by the Asam Down Town University, Guwahati. At the end of the program, a question -answer session was held where Chief resource person Anjan Choudhary answered the queries of the students on career.
