Farmers protest against the forest dept. in Margherita

Bikash Baruah, Margherita, July 9: Farmers staged a protest at Banhbari under Katetang panchayat of Margherita Assembly in Tinsukia district.The protest was organized by local farmers against the forest department preventing farmers from cultivating under Mission Vasundhara in agricultural fields near Digboi Pengeri forest.Local farmers go to the fields with Nangal Yuwali and staged a massive protest with slogans like the forest department alas! BJP Government alas! The Assam government Murdabad , Our Soil Should Need Us etc.

A team of AASAA attended in the protest led by the Margherita Regional Committee President Jarnel Minz.The margherita regional committee of AASAA has soon called upon the forest department and the local administration to cancel the decision otherwise the AASAA margherita regional community massive movement in the interest of farmers in the near coming days.
