Protest for bridge on Suklai river at Budlapara

BIKASH RABHA, Udalguri, Jun 26: The Indo-Bhutan border under Paneri legislative assembly constituency in Udalguri has been suffering from different types of crisis. One of the greater regions of Udalguri district under Dimakuchi police station, Budlapara has been facing problems since Independence of India for not having a bridge on the Suklai river. Budlapara village is situated between two rivers like Suklai and Nalapara river, for that whenever the water overflows on the both rivers people of this region have to face different difficulties. Students are not able to cross the river for their school due to the absence of a bridge over it. Whenever the water of these two rivers increases, ambulances can't enter in this region because many patients lose their lives. For that the people of this greater region abstain from different faculties. Therefore, demanding a bridge on the Suklai river, people of this area protested in initiative of "Shramjeevi Mohila Shamanyarakshi Samiti" today. According to the protesters, public representatives do not come to fully fill their demands or their needs, they only come during the time of election to ask for votes. They also called over local MLA and speaker of Assam legislative assembly Biswajit Daimary to make a bridge over the Suklai river. Students, youths, elders, women, etc participated in the protest and demanded for the bridge to Assam and BTC government.
