Ganja seized in police raid: 3 held

STAFF REPORTER, Chirang, June 16: Police raided Basugaon town in Chirang and arrested three ganja smuggling youths including a large quantity of ganja. Police from Basugaon police station raided a secret liquor pod in the evening and arrested three youths in suspicious condition from station road. Police seized a plastic bag from the custody of the detained youths. Police later recovered a ganja weighing four kilograms from inside the bag. The three detained Ganja traders are Robin Barman, Sudeep Barman and Biplab Dey respectively. The trio's houses are in Bilaspur and Bogulamari under Vidyapur sub police station in Bongaigaon district. The arrested trio came from Bilaspur to Sell ganja at Basugaon and fell into the police net of Basugaon police station. Police are continuing to inquire for more information.
