Assam Flood: NDRF saved a drowning person in north guwahati

STAFF REPORTER, Guwahati, June 23: Now the rain has stopped in Assam but the flood situation is getting worse day by day, In this worst situation 1st BN NDRF having its HQ at Patgaon, Guwahati is on full swing with its 14 professionally sound team to shift all these stranded peoples to safe place and provide food and water to the inaccessible areas being provided by the district administration. Today at around 1430 hrs, while ferrying relief distribution to the heavily waterlogged area in North Guwahati, the NDRF team saw a drowning in the middle of the water and heard a frightening sound, the team swiftly approached him and rescued alive the battling male person namely Firoz Ali's son Ilyas Ali, resident of village Bala Pare, West Islampur from the submerged area of North Guwahati.
