Biswanath Chariali, June 19: The historic burial ground (moidam) of Mulagabharu which is located at Salahola; to the southern part of Sootea under Biswanath district was visited by Dr. Nabajit Deuri, deputy director and Dr. Sabina Hasan on Saturday. The burial ground locally known as 'Aidew Bheti' was officially visited by the department concerned as per the written request made by Sootea branch of Tai Sahitya Sabha, Birangana Mulagabharu Moidam Conservation Committee and the deputy commissioner's office, Biswanath. The team of experts inspected all pros and cons and opined that they will carry out excavation to ensure historic existence of ground. Notably, Ananda Handique, secretary of Moidam Conservation Committee handed over a documented file to the team during their visit. Representatives of Tai Sahitya Sabha, Tai Pa and Moidam Conservation Committee were present.
