Aalo, 26 July: - The fire incident that took place in the morning of July
22 at Siru Rijo tea Co. Pvt Ltd. under Yomcha Circle of West Siang district
also burnt down seven roomed barrack in which eight families were accommodated.
They were officials and labourers working in the said Tea Estate coming all the
way from different parts of the state and the country and the barrack and
personal properties are said to be gutted to ashes. The Siru Rrijo Tea Co. Pvt,
Ltd. Managing Director, Tugo Gangkak organised an Awareness cum Relief
distribution ceremony to prevent the outbreak of such a fire accident in near
future and shared the grief and sorrow with all fire victims. The Company has
also performed local rituals to ward off such disasters in future. The MD,
Board of Director Dr. Goto Gangkak, relatives and other staff could garner
Rs.2,00,000 lakhs out of which Rs.50,000 was paid to Tumbom Gangkak and family
and Rs.35,000 each to all other victims. The Director Sirurijo Tea Co. Pvt.
Ltd. Yayum Gangkak provided all the clothing and utensils needed for the
victims. Gangkak has appealed to the Yomcha administration to make a spot
assessment of the losses.
