Maligaon, 29 July, 2021: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway arrested one tout with recovery of 10 used railway e-tickets and also apprehended one person with recovery of 2 nos. mobile phones, belonging to a train passenger. On 26 July CIB team of RPF/Tinsukia and RPF Post/Dibrugarh workshop conducted a raid jointly on received information regarding touting activities by a shop named “T.D. Communication '' is situated at Poruni Masjid, Borbaruah, under Borboruah PS, of Dibrugarh district. During raid and search in this shop the RPF team apprehended one person namely, Tridip Deori of Madhupur Deori Gaon near LP School, under Borbaruah of Dibrugarh with the recovery of 10 used railway e-tickets worth Rs. 59,507.96. The said tickets were generated by using his personal user IDs. 01 Laptop, 01 mobile handset and 01 printer were also seized from the shop. In this regard RPF Post/ Dibrugarh Workshop registered a case. In another incident, on 25 July during performing night checking duty RPF personnel of Rangiya Post and QRT/Rangiya apprehended one person namely Sanjay Narzary, belongs to Kumarikata village under Kumarikata police station of Baksa district with recovery of 2 mobile phones, one of which was stolen from a passenger of train no. 03175 UP, namely Jaydev Sarkar, belongs to Saloi Pahari village under Hirban police station of Bankura district (WB). Later, the apprehended person along with the recovered mobile phones was handed over to OC/GRP/Rangiya for further necessary action.
