New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir administration
on Saturday launched a major crackdown on government employees who were helpful
to the terrorists. The administration simultaneously dismissed 11 employees.
Among them are two sons of Syed Salahuddin, founder of the hizbul mujahideen
terror group.
Syed Salahuddin hails from Kashmir but is currently living in
Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He is also the head of the United Jihad Council. The
organisation has been formed by Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Used to give internal
information to terrorists
The dismissed employees are 4 from Anantnag, 3 from Budgam, 1
each from Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara. These include 4 departments
of education, 2 police constables, one each from agriculture, skill
development, electricity, SKIMS and health department. According to officials,
the men were giving internal information to the terrorists.
Sources said, the committee set up to look into the
administration related issues in Jammu and Kashmir had recommended dismissal of
3 employees in its second meeting and 8 in the fourth meeting. These
recommendations were made under the provisions of the Constitution.

Out of the 8 employees recommended for dismissal in the
fourth meeting, 2 are constables. They used to deliver information as well as
logistics to the terrorists while in the department. Sources said constable
Abdul Rashid Was also involved in the attack on shigan security forces.
Syed Ahmed Shakeel and Shahid Yusuf, son of most wanted
terrorist Syed Salahuddin, were involved in terror funding. NIA was keeping an
eye on both of them. They were found involved in raising and transferring money
through hawala for hizbul mujahideen.

Chief arrested in NIA
Shahid Yusuf, 45, was arrested by NIA in 2017. He worked in
the agriculture department. NIA had alleged that Shahid used to get funds from
absconding accused Ejaz Ahmed Bhat through international wire money transfer.
Shahid Bhat had come across contacts with many people in India, one of them was
Shahid Yusuf. He was given code for money transfer through phone.
Salahuddin's second son Syed Shakeel Yusuf was arrested in
2018. A team of NIA, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police had then raided his house
in Srinagar. He was a lab technician at a government hospital in Srinagar. He
is accused of taking money from his father in the 2011 terror funding case. NIA
claims that jammu and kashmir money was transferred from Pakistan. The fund was
used for terrorism and separatist activities.
Health Department
employee helps Hizbul
Another government employee involved in terrorism is Naz M
Allai. He is orderly in the health department. He is an overground worker of
hizbul mujahideen and has been directly involved in terrorist activities. He
had sheltered two big terrorists in his house.
