Staff Reporter, Guwahati: The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) School of Technology, organized a seminar on “Emerging Fields in Mechanical Engineering” on May 30. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Buljit Buragohain, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who also introduced the resource person, Dr. Dhrubajit Sarma, a newly appointed Assistant Professor in the department. In his session, Dr. Sarma delivered an informative and engaging talk focusing on cutting-edge domains that are transforming the field of mechanical engineering. He highlighted the growing relevance of emerging technologies and their impact on the discipline. Key topics discussed during the seminar included Additive Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Smart Systems, Nanotechnology and Smart Engineering, Biomechanics, and the application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Mechanical Systems.
