Man arrested for kicking PM Modi’s photo

News Desk Guwahati, June 11: In a recent incident that took place in Assam’s Karimganj district, a man was arrested by the police for allegedly kicking a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The individual has been identified as Raju Rajkumar, hailing from Patharkandi in the Karimganj district. He was also a former member of the Patharkandi Zila Parishad. According to sources, the incident took place while BJP workers were preparing for a procession to celebrate the victory of MP Kripanath Mallah in the Lok Sabha election. Raju Rajkumar interrupted the rally by switching off the sound system first and then he kicked the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Then he went on to beat up a BJP worker and fled away, according to sources. A case was registered in this regard on the basis of which Rajkumar was arrested by the police and produced before the court. The court ordered the man to be sent to jail. Police records indicate that Raju has multiple cases registered against him, primarily related to physical altercations.
