MSSV signed MoU with BVDUSPA

Staff Reporter, Nagaon, December 20: A Cultural Exchange Program namely “Kala-Setu: A Bridge of Culture” of Maharashtra with NE India, held at the auditorium of Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya (MSSV), Guwahati Unit Rupnagar Yesterday. The exchange program was started with a lamp lighting ceremony by Prof. Sharangdhar Sathe Director Bharati Vidyapith (Deemed to be University) School of Performing Arts (BVDUSPA). Prof. Mrinal Kumar Borah; Registrar of MSSV welcomed thirteen dignitaries, faculty members and the students of BVDUSPA to the University. Students from BVDUSPA performed Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Sattriya, Classical Vocal and two students from MSSV performed Solo song, solo dance. Dr. Devika Borthaqur from Assam coordinate the entire program where Dr. Dimple Saikia, HoD (i/c) presided over the session. Registrar of the University informed that this program is first of its kind in our university with BVDUSPA. he also stated that, signed MoU will help our students in the academics, and it will help in the cultural exchange through both the organizations. He also added that, as per the MoU a group of students of MSSV will go for a exchange program at BVDUSPA, Pune within a short period of time. Gouri Prasad Sarmah, Asstt. Public Relation Officer of the university was informed about the program through a press release.
