“Swasthya Sewa Abhiyan” held in Margherita TE

Bikash Barua, Tinsukia, November 22: Every individual has the right to health care, but a lack of quality infrastructure, scarcity of competent medical personnel, and lack of access to essential medicines and medical facilities prevent Indian residents from receiving it. “Swasthya Sewa Abhiyan” a special medical camp held on November 22 at the hospital premises of Margherita Tea garden hospital under Ketetong Block PHC in Tinsukia. The main objective of the camp is to spread health care facilities in the given area, promote health care, early screening, and detection of disease, reach the unreached community population, and raise awareness of various diseases. The camp was inaugurated by Preeti Kumari, IAS, SDO (Civil) Margherita in the presence of senior health officials from district and block level of Tinsukia. It is to be mentioned that Margherita TE hospital has a population coverage of 5430. Specialist Doctors like gynecologists, Pediatrician, Medicine, ophthalmologist, Chest and TB participated in the camp. During the camp a total of 848 patients were examined and got free medicines.
