5 died on the spot in collision of Truck and Car at Kaliabor Hatiyekhuwa

Bureau Report, Nagaon, November 22: In a tragic head to head collision between a Hyundai Arora car (AS 05 Q 2683) with a truck (UP 37AT 2765), all the five occupants including the driver of the Hyundai car who came in a bridal journey along with the bridegroom to the house of the bride at Tezpur from Bokakhat in Golaghat district, were died on spot on NH 37 (A) near Kaliabor Hariyekhuwa last night. The deceased have been identified as the driver Sandeep Kumar Paul ( Bokakhat klakhuwa), Bibek Das (Bhutpara Moumakhi), Sanjoy Das, Samir Paul and Bikash Sarma ( Bokakhat Kolakhuwa), sources said. Local police from Sulung and Uluani PS immediately rushed to the spot soon after the tragic incident and recovered bodies of those victim youths and sent the earthly remains of those victims for post mortem. Meanwhile the driver and helper of the truck managed themselves to escape from the scene, sources said, adding that the police registered a case in this regard and further legal proceedings are on. As per onlookers or eyewitnesses, the tragic road mishap took place due to negligence of the NH four lines road construction agency while police doubted that it might be due to over speed of the Hyundai Arora car, sources added further.
