Staff Reporter, Tinsukia, October 24: In Tinsukia district, elephant-human conflict is increasing day by day at various places under Digbai forest division.On Sunday night too, a wild elephant that had come out in search of food in Margherita sima Pathar village created panic.The wild elephant ransacked two houses in Sima Pathar village.It is to be noted that wild elephants have been carrying out terror in the area for a long time.Locals have been informing the forest department about this, but there have been allegations that the forest department has taken any action.As a result the local people are angry with the forest department.At night, the unfortunate family has become homeless after wild elephants demolished the residence of a poor man named Biru Gowala.The family, including two children, was saved in a wild elephant attack.Locals have urged the government administration to compensate the poor family.On the other hand, at night, the wild elephant broke the house of Pitrush Goala.It is to be noted that for a long time wild elephants that come in search of food from the nearby Dihing Patkai National Park in the area have often been a nuisance in the area.
