Udalguri, October 11: A Leap Short, a short drama film which is directed by Pritam Patowary and Arunabh Chaliha was screened yesterday in Tangla. This short film is presented by M-Content Dubai in association with Bioscopic Arena Guwahati and will be released on the platform of M-Content. MContent is a blockchain technology company that has an MSeed Program which gives funding to young content creators all around the world. Pritam Patowary pitched his idea in their platform and after two pitching rounds, he was shortlisted for the funding of his short film project. Whereas, A Leap Short is a short drama film on the dark realities of modern urban life. The narrative follows Rajesh, an aspiring young man who struggles to manage his personal and professional life in the midst of financial woes. His notion of the ideal shatters as he deals with the complexities and hypocrisy of the corporate world that he so desired to be a part of. His dreams survive but they hang by a thread. Everything takes a turn for the worse when he misplaces an expensive watch that he had borrowed for an upscale party. As he breaks open his savings to replace it, his dreams finally shatter and he realizes that in the end his efforts were doomed to fall short of achieving his hopes and aspirations. It is also mentionable that Pritam Patowary and his team already achieved the national award as second best dialogue for the short film titled "Requiem for Hope" at the 2021 National Award ceremony held by Indian Film House. People of Udalguri district appreciated the work of Pritam Patowary and gave best wishes for his new project.
