Kaliabor, October 8: Erosion of Mighty Brahmaputra continues at Silghat Rubber-Bari in Kaliabor. The Brahmaputra is gradually taking over the land of the Rubber-Bari region. Due to heavy erosion, bighas of land in the area have been submerged in the chest of River Brahmaputra. Day by day, the Brahmaputra is consuming the Silghat Ashokastami mela fields as well as the agricultural land of the people of the Ruberbari area. The Brahmaputra is approaching the Silghat PWD road. The water resources department has not taken any immediate measures to prevent erosion in the area. The people of rubber-bari are scared of the continuous erosion. People are demanding a permanent solution to prevent erosion.
