Tinsukia, September 28: The All Assam Prayas Trophy Prize Money Football League tournament held at Ledu Bazar High School ground in Margherita subdivision concluded successfully on Tuesday evening.The football tournament was organised at the playground of Lidu Bazar Higher Secondary School in association with Margherita District Sports Association and under the initiative of Prayas NGOs.The final match of the Prayas Trophy Prize Money Football League tournament was played between Assam FC and Himal Club of Duliajan.In the final match, Upper Assam FC defeated Duliajan's Himal Club 1-0 to win the effort trophy.Tridev Gorky of Upper Assam FC won the man of the tournament title.Sixteen football teams from different parts of Assam participated in the tournament.Ranajyoti Neog, secretary of Tinsukia District Journalists' Association, was the guest of honour at the closing ceremony.Former prominent football players Bhanu Chakraborty Nelson Tasa Anup Biswas Margherita District Sports Association Working President Bappi Sarkar Secretary Satya Kakati Football Secretary Ramzan Ali Youth Social Worker Dhiraj Sonowal Deepak Chetia Journalist Tapan Dey Hemanta Gogoi were also present as guests.The screening of the National Anthem of India was followed by a gathering of guests.
