Tinsukia, September 21: Margherita police administration seems to have been on the boil after the horrific incident involving the death and bodies of three labourers in an illegal coal mine in Margherita Lidu in Tinsukia district.The police recovered the bodies of three labourers buried by the coal mafia in a very remote area and detained a total of eight people, including the notorious coal mafia, for questioning in connection with the incident.At the end of interrogation today, five people, including Bijon Roy, Rana Das, Anwar Hussain alias Sufi Baba, were produced before the Margherita Judicial court.The court sent five accused in connection with the case to jail.The conscious community has expressed satisfaction over the recent intensified operation by the police against the mafia involved in the smuggling coal syndicate.
