Majuli, August 2: A special Gaonshabha meeting was held in Luitparia Goanpanchayat on Tuesday. The first program of the meeting was chaired by the President of Luitparia Gaon Panchayat Mrinalni Gam Milli. The objectives of the meeting were explained by the GPC of the panchayat Hemant Das at 11 am. The second program was done by Majuli District Fisheries Officer Bimal Sharma. He briefly discussed the need to celebrate the Tiranga in every household as a citizen of 75 years of independent India. The third program was attended by Upper Majuli Zonal Development Officer Rohiteshwar Saikia who spoke about Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.The fourth program was held at Majuli District Fisheries Department Officer Bimal Sharma and Upper Majuli Zonal Development Officer Rohiteshwar Saikia. The discussion said that real farmers have received fair price of paddy under the Prime Minister's Agricultural Welfare Scheme 70 per cent of the farmers have already sold their paddy at the paddy sales centers in Phulni and received financial assistance under the PM-Kishan scheme. He urged those who are deprived of this financial assistance to submit their Aadhaar card documents to the departmental authorities and get to work. The fifth program was conducted by District Fisheries Officer Bimal Sharma. Shri Sharma spoke about how workers can get government insurance through e-shram cards. The sixth program included important discussions on election of Panchayat representatives for Panchayat Committees and list of PMGAY/AWAS PLUS regarding 'Amrit Sarovar'. The meeting was attended by councilor Prabin Milli, Ward members Amar Panging, Hemendra Taye, Social worker Bhaskar Pegu, Luitparia Regional TMPK Secretary Rahul Gam, MMK President Mahendra Payeng, Joint Secretary Jogen Milli and Reporter Pranjal Gare is present in the Meeting.
