LTK College alumni association meet held

Zulfiqur Ali, North Lakhimpur, August 2: A meet of the LTK College alumni association was held on Sunday in the college. The meet was presided over by the retired vice-principal of the college and the president of the alumni association Dr. Ramesh Kumar Kakati. The meet was inaugurated by the president of the college governing body Dr. Amiya Rajbongshi. The welcome address was delivered by the Principal of the college Dr. Bubul Kumar Saikia. Retired vice-principal of the college Baharul Islam, present vice-principal Bidyut Chutiya and NAAC co-ordinator of the college Biju Kumar Sonowal lectured in the meet as the eminent guests. In the meet, where about 150 alumni were present, alumnus Subhash Saikia recited poems and Promod Nath performed flute. The meet was anchored by Prof. Prafulla Nath who also offered vote of thanks. A new 31-member executive committee was formed in the meet with Dr. Prashanta Phukan, associate professor of Lakhimpur Central College as the president, Hemkanta Borah, associate professor of Nowboicha College as the executive president and Prafulla Nath, associate professor of LTK College as the secretary. Principal Dr. Bubul Kumar Saikia also thanked and expressed gratitude to all who were present in the event.
