Webinar on “Role of packaging and market placement in generating sales” held

STAFF REPORTER, Guwahati, July 19: GAEF (Global Assamese Entrepreneurship Forum, (www.gaefnortheast.org) organized a webinar “Role of packaging and market placement in generating sales” on July 17 last. Branding, Brand positioning and marketing play a significant role in the success of any product or the service industry as do the various forms of packaging. It has become especially important in this era of sustainable packaging . To address these issues and provide a resourceful platform for the young Entrepreneurs from Assam, GAEF organized the webinar which was graced by Speakers Prof. Dr. Narayan C. Saha, Founder Chairman of FIPS and Former Director of Indian Institute of Packaging, and Manoj Kumar Das, Former Managing Director of NERAMAC with Commodore Rajiv Ashok (retd.) and Managing Director of NERAMAC as the Chief Guest and Ellora Goswami as the Moderator. The Speakers addressed several issues regarding sustainable packaging, economic and environmental impact, product marketing, the importance of branding and related issues. Partha Gogoi, President GAEF informed that this was the first episode of a series of webinars planned by GAEF. GAEF plans to hold such webinars on the 3rd Sunday of every month and invites all entrepreneurs to participate. The webinar was concluded by Anjana Bordoloi, General Secretary, GAEF USA.
