W&CWD Joint Secretary attended review meeting in Majuli

Staff Reporter, Majuli, July 30: Joint Secretary, Women and Child Welfare Department, Government of Assam Gautam Majumder attended a review meeting in the presence of Women and Child Welfare Officers, Chief Nurse, District Women and Child Welfare Officers and Assistant Commissioner on Saturday. The officer visited several Anganwadi centers in the district and spoke about the awareness to be taken for the mental and physical development of children. The officer later attended a special village meeting held at the community association near Kharjanpar Tribal Higher Secondary School. The meeting mainly discussed the projects to be undertaken in the near future in 2 no Bargoya village , which has been selected by the Government of Assam to become an ideal village under the Assam Adarsh Gram Yojana.
