Siksha-Mala held in Udalguri

Bikash Rabha, Udalguri, July 24: An educational week named Siksha-Mala, which was conducted from July 17 to 23 by Helping Hands Society in collaboration with Immanuel Coaching Academy was concluded successfully today. On the last day of educational week a guardian counseling program was conducted. In the program retired vice-principal of Udalguri college, Tanka Bahadur Gautam Chetry attended as chief guest and as resource person Dr. Jayanta Pathak, Asst Professor of Jorhat CKB college, Abha Bharali, specialist of Jorhat Journalist and Pushpanjali Shivam Sharma, distinguished writer and teacher were present. All the invited guests explained the role of guardians for the development of extensive knowledge of the students. The program was attended by Rahul Dev Brahma, Principal of AFA Senior Secondary School, Bidyut Ranjan Kalita, Principal of Premiere Senior Secondary School and teachers. On the other hand, owners of Immanuel Coaching Academy, Sumant Barma and Rajat Chetry were also present on the occasion. In the second program of the last day, all the teachers of Udalguri area were felicitated. The program was attended by distinguished teachers Dilip Dutta, Narahari Pathak, Mohan Chetry, Montu Kalita, Anup Sharma and many teachers. In addition to the program, in the memory of Jeevan Geeta Devi Bajgai felicitated Atlanta Hazarika and Pratima Sharma who secured the highest mark in the entire Udalguri area in HS and HSLC examination. In the third program of the day, prize of debate, drawing, story telling, poem recitation, poem writing on the spot, extempore speech and quiz competition which was conducted among the students was distributed. On the basis of all results Popitora Deka, student of Premiere Senior Secondary School was awarded with the title Student of the Year. The whole program was led successfully by Lakshman Upadhaya, chief advisor of Helping Hands Society. Locals of Udalguri administration and socialists appreciated the initiative of Helping Hands Society.
