Magherita, Jun 16: The All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) and the Assam Tea Tribe Students Association (ATTSA) jointly implemented a protest programme demanding the repair of the dilapidated road from Margherita to Deomali. The protest was organized by The Tinsukia District Committee of Aasaa, Margherita regional committee and Margherita regional committee of Assam Tea Tribe Students Association (ATTSA). The long-standing government and departmental authorities have not repaired and made it completely unfit for road traffic.There have also been several accidents on the road at different times due to the damaged roads. The leadership of the two student unions has called for early repairs to make the traffic system smooth.Otherwise both the student organizations shouted from the protest site that they would be forced to build a strong democratic protest in the coming days and the government administration will be a victim to any untoward situation arising out of this.
