Palasbari, Sept 15: Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra has been closed for many months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It may be mentioned here that on the day of the 95th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the State Health & Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta announced that the Samadhi khetra will reopen from September 8 with maintaining all COVID protocols.But the Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi khetra near Gauhati University in Jalukbari, is still not open for the tourists Many visitors have come to the Samadhi khetra, although the Samadhi Khetra has been closed and they are still in despair. The Jalukbari Citizens' Association has demanded the departmental authorities to take immediate action in this regard and reopen the Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra.
