ADG, BSF (Eastern Command), Kolkata Reviewed the operational readiness of BSF Guwahati Frontier

Guwahati, Sept 13: Y B Khurainia, IPS, Additional Director General, BSF Eastern Command visited Frontier Headquarter BSF Guwahati on September 13 to review the current security situation. He was briefed by S.S Gehlot, Inspector General, Guwahati Frontier on the operational preparedness and measures to combat various challenges on the Indo-BD border. Khurainia, will also visit the area of responsibility of FTR HQ BSF Guwahati from 14 to 16 Sept’ to review the border domination. During this period he will interact with the ground level troops and commanders, who are performing duty at Indo- BD international Border and evaluate the real time problems faced by the troops deployed on ground in border domination. During his visit to Guwahati Ftr Khurainia, IPS also met Himanta Biswas Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam and Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, DGP Assam police and discussed about various aspects of border management at Indo-BD border in the state of Assam. During interaction with officials of Guwahati Frontier, Khurainia, lauded the efforts made by the BSF Guwahati Frontier on fight against the Covid pandemic and operational preparedness along the border. He also mentioned that BSF is doing a commendable job and effectively guarding the international border and also taking up several welfare measures for overall improvement of the force.
