Guwahati, 27 July:The sports and youth welfare, Power, Cultural
affairs and Tourism depts. Minister of Assam Bimal Bora facilitated Assam Power
Distribution Company Ltd. (APDCL) officials with traditional Assamese
Gamocha in Divisional Electrical office Tezpur on Monday evening. The officers
of APDCL are Sobhan Saikia, CEO, Tezpur, Liton Dutta, AGM(i/c), B D Roy, AGM,
IRCA, Tezpur, Zahir Abbas, DM, IRCA, Bhabani Bhuyan,SDE T&C Sub-Division,
Tezpur, Bidyut Bikash Bailung, SDE, Tezpur, Jyotirmoy Kakaty, JM, T&C
Sub-Div, Tezpur and Rupam Saikia, JM, Tezpur, ESD-1. It is worth mentioning
that the team of APDCL comprising these officers unearth illegal electrical
connections taken by two private firms namely Wood Craft and Brahmaputra papers
of Tezpur few days back. The Minister took this initiative of felicitation as a
token of appreciation. The Minister of Power held a meeting at the office of
the Electrical Division of APDCL, Tezpur with the officers and took stock of
the status of collection of revenue. He appreciated officers for the measures
taken by them for the collection of revenue from the household in terms of electrical
bill and expressed his satisfaction regarding their services towards public and
gradually increasing volume of APDCL.
