Health camp organized in LCC

Staff Reporter, North Lakhimpur, December 1: A health camp was organized at Lakhimpur Commerce College(LCC), North Lakhimpur today on the occasion of World AIDS Day. The health camp was organized by the Red Ribbon Club of the college in active collaboration with District Health Society, Lakhimpur. The health camp was inaugurated by Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college in which the objective of the day was explained by Dr. Dadul Rajkonwar, Programme Officer of Red Ribbon Club of Lakhimpur Commerce College. Dr. Ayan Das, Medical Officer, Mobile Medical Unit-Lakhimpur district (MMU-100) attended the health camp as attending doctor. Health workers Kabita Pachoni (LT, MMU-100), Gurishmita Gogoi (ANM, MMU-100), Nabanita Bhuyan (ANM, MMU-100) and pharmacist Irfan Haque assisted in providing various services and care in the day-long health camp. Teaching and non-teaching staff of the college and students were provided free health check-ups including checking blood pressure, blood sugar and injury cases in the health camp. Students were also given counseling on prevention of AIDS by the visiting health team as part of the health camp. Free medicines were distributed among students and college staff and dressings of injuries, blood tests were also done in the health camp.
