Dibrugarh, 27 July: A meeting between the Bought Leaf Factory Associations & Small Tea Growers’ Associations of Dibrugarh District was held under the aegis of the Dibrugarh District Administration on Tuesday at the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner to find an amicable solution regarding falling Green Leaf price and its quality. The meeting was chaired by Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dibrugarh. In the meeting, a mutual agreement was reached between the Small Tea Growers’ Associations and Bought Leaf Factory Associations regarding cooperation and coordination on issues of quality and price of green leaves for times to come under strict monitoring of the District Administration so that livelihood concerns of all the stakeholders are taken care of. The meeting was also attended by U K Deori, Assistant Director, Tea Board of India, Dibrugarh, Debasis Borah, ACS, SDO (S), Hema Nayak, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Dibrugarh and representatives of ABITA, TAI and BCP.
